2014-2015 Budget

On June 16, 2014 the T/E School Board approved the final budget for the 2014–2015 school year in the amount of $117,254,089 revenue, $2,671,891 fund balance allocation, and $119,925,980 for expenditures. The final budget includes a tax rate of 20.2171 mills which is an increase of .6269 mills from the 2013-2014 tax rate.

The 2014-2015 Final Budget includes property tax increases of 2.1%, the Act 1 Index, and 1.1%, a referendum exception for state retirement expenses. The total tax rate increase proposed is 3.2%, or a $158 increase to the average assessed home in T/E. This tax increase is projected to produce approximately $3.08 million in new revenue to address the 2014-2015 budgeted operating deficit of over $4.25 million. Homeowners eligible for the homestead/farmstead exclusion under Act 1 will receive a reduction of $180.01 on their 2014 property tax bills from state allocated gaming revenue.
